He makes all things beautiful in His time
As I listened to the
sermon on Hannah about barrenness and hopelessness, it brought to memory my own
personal journey. We’ve gone through so
many difficulties in our life and sometimes I even wondered if God really
exists. Everything seemed to be going
wrong.
About 4-5 years ago in
December of 2015, my husband, Rahul, was given a letter of suspension without
any intimations. Our whole life took a
turn which none of us were prepared for.
Our children were small and still in Montessori and were hoping to move
into a regular school. My in laws were
staying with us and Rahul was the only earning member in the house. Things went
from bad to worse and it seemed like life had drawn a curtain on us. We
wondered what to do, why did this happen to us? What did we do to deserve
this? In my brokenness and shattered
dreams, I turned towards the Lord not sure of our future. We decided to take each day as it came. My greatest concern was for our children and
their future. All doors for admissions
were closed. One line kept playing in my
mind during those days, ‘Know that I am your God’. This sentence would ring in
my head every time I would begin to panic!
This would be followed by a second sentence, ‘God will make a way where
there seems to be no way’.
And God did make a way
where it seemed impossible. My children
made it to school. There is not a day
that God has not provided in some way.
We did not need to beg or ask help from anyone. There was a roof over
our heads and food on the table.
Things are still not
easy. My dad passed away and it was a
big shock for me. We also got a job
offer for both of us at a school in Panthakot. We were all set to move to this new place, but
the lockdown happened and everything is back to the same place. However, I’m not the same as when my husband
was first suspended. As we heard in the
message, perhaps the Lord is training us for better days and tasks ahead of us.
I am aware more than
ever that He makes all things beautiful in His time. His timings are always perfect.
Mary M.
